This post is full-time fixed-term at Grade 7 to 31st December 2021 due to external funding.
The School of Education seeks to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Education/Social Science or related subjects to work on a funded Nesta/DfE project evaluating the effectiveness of EdTech tools on teachers’ and students’ outcomes. The role will include supporting the principal investigators in the evaluation. You will be required to contact schools for fieldwork, collect research data from schools, and liaise with Nesta, EdTech tool developers and schools to facilitate the evaluation. You will assist in the conduct of the surveys, interview and analysis of data. The role also involves helping to maintain a social media presence and in dissemination activities including publishing. Ideally you will have experience with working in schools, knowledge of education programme evaluation, and data analysis skills, such as with SPSS or similar.
The post-holder will work with Dr Beng Huat See, Professor Stephen Gorard and Dr Nadia Siddiqui in all aspects of the project. They will also have the opportunity to contribute to publications, and to be a co-applicant in further grant-funding applications.
