Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President (International)
Located in one of the most beautiful regions of the UK, between the Snowdonia National Park and Anglesey, Bangor University has occupied a central role in the educational provision of the area since its foundation in 1884. With approximately 11,000 students and 2,000 staff, the university offers a wide range of academic provision grouped in three Colleges. We are now seeking to appoint to the new role of Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President (International) whose portfolio of activities is designed to enhance the University’s reputation and significantly increase our institutional and business partnerships. The role leads a large function covering marketing; student recruitment and admissions; international business development; UK and international institutional partnerships; alumni relations and development; and communications. A member of the university’s senior leadership team, the role will have a high profile internally and externally as you lead on developing and raising the university’s external profile, setting an ambitious pace and example around developing networks to enhance our impact whilst also ensuring continued growth in student recruitment.
The successful candidate will lead a strategic review of the division and, as a member of the senior leadership team, play a central role in the development and implementation of the wider University strategic plan, as such you must bring a track record of success at a strategic level in one or more of the above divisional areas. Comfortable in an ambassadorial role you will be an assured, persuasive and confident communicator, someone who seeks innovative solutions, with imagination and creativity, inspiring trust and respect across institution.
