Faculty of Health & Life Sciences, Research Centre for Intelligent Healthcare

Coventry University is seeking an academic for the role of Research Fellow to join the Research Centre for Intelligent Healthcare and, specifically, it's Prototype Design, Testing and Regulation theme.  In line with the theme's primary research, we welcome applications from early career researchers striving to develop research careers in the fields of digital healthcare. The Centre aims to become a globally recognised research centre for pioneering and opinion-setting research in the area of digital healthcare and its contribution to improving communities and enriching and prolonging individual lives.

Our Centre is further strengthened by our links with companies, hospitals and public health bodies through our Advisory Board, Honorary Research Fellows and Associates. We also have a growing team of PhD students who contribute to a thriving research environment.  The multidisciplinary vision and team is evidenced through our three core themes within the Centre: Behaviour & Implementation Science, Epidemiology and Prototype Design, Testing & Regulation. 

We are seeking a talented individual to work for the development of novel healthcare technologies and devices with clinical needs.  With a PhD in Biomedical Engineering or relevant areas, you will be able to demonstrate competence in developing medical technologies and devices. You will have an understanding of the techniques applicable to the research area, including physiological measurement, physiological signal process, computer modelling and hardware design. You will be able to analyse data critically, and have experience of writing concise, comprehensive reports. 

You will be joining a forward-thinking, progressive University and a Research Centre which is newly created and embarking on an exciting journey in healthcare interventions.
