Clinical Research Fellow
This a full-time post for a Clinical Research Fellow (Doctor-in-Training) jointly based at the Departments of Cardiovascular Medicine and Sciences and Psychosis Studies at King’s College London and the Department of Cardiology, King’s College Hospital. The post holder will work under the direction of Prof Ajay Shah, Head of Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and Sciences, Dr Fiona Gaughran, Reader in Psychopharmacology and Physical Health, Psychosis Studies and Dr Nicholas Gall, Consultant Cardiologist, King’s College Hospital.
The successful candidate will work across academic Cardiology and Psychiatry to develop a joint research programme with the aim of informing the management of cardiovascular risk in for people with a diagnosis of psychosis. Clinically, they will play a key role in developing and evaluating ECG interpretation systems across the South London and Maudsley and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts. The successful applicant will contribute to the successful conduct and completion of the project, contributing to service development and evaluation, clinical interpretation, and development of a joint cardiology and mental health research initiative. They will work closely with inpatient teams in King’s College Hospital and the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. The post will require travelling to different sites within the Trust and partner organisations to recruit patients, work with colleagues and to conduct measures.
This post will a fixed-term contract for 1 year.
