The project involves using biophysiocally-detailed computational models, along with advanced signal/ image processing techniques, to optimize therapies against lethal cardiac rhythm disorders. The successful candidate will use state-of-the-art clinical image data, along with electrical measurements, to create personalized computational models. Novel intra-cardiac electrode designs and protocols will be created and tested in-silico within the models in order to advance anti-arrhythmia electrotherapy. The post will use the computational and clinical electrophysiological infrastructure provided by the School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences and will be based at St Thomas’ Hospital. This project is suited to an individual with experience in cardiac physiology research, signal/image processing, and/or the creation and simulation of cardiac computational models
