 0.5FTE continuing position available immediately

We are seeking an academic staff member who is innovative with their teaching methods and passionate about preparing the next generation of health care professionals especially those who can bring an industry relevant awareness of contemporary mental health care.

As the successful candidate, you will work as part of the pre-registration and postgraduate teams. Working closely with the Preregistration Program Coordinator, you will also be expected to participate in other school activities as required, and undertake practices in accordance with the legal and ethical requirements of the nursing profession and the core nursing values of the Adelaide Nursing School.

The Adelaide Nursing School at the University of Adelaide brings together an energetic, enthusiastic group of nursing clinicians and academics interested in furthering the nursing profession. In this Lecturer position, you will have the qualifications and experience recognised by the university as appropriate for this discipline area, and positions at this level will normally require a doctoral or masters’ qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials, demonstrations and workshops; as well as marking and assessment activities; and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
  • Demonstrated experience in course coordination and the management of teaching and learning resources and staffing, including experience in the development of innovative teaching methods and curriculum.
  • Demonstrated expertise in nursing education at postgraduate and undergraduate level.
  • PhD or commitment to study a PhD in Nursing or relevant field.
  • Demonstrated understanding to provide and advocate research in the specialist field.

This position may require a valid Working with Children Check.
