Job Description

The Emirates Center for Energy and Environment Research at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking for a research assistant in the area of solar energy, PV panels, and dust characterizations. The candidate will work on a solar dust project, and should be strong in physical, optical, and chemical analysis of dust samples. Being familiar with different characterization techniques like SEM, XRD, particle size analysis, and XRF (if possible). The research assistant should be able to plan for experiments, analyze, and discuss results. Be able to write proposals and journal articles. Flexible to work with a team of interdisciplinary discipline. The preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience in characterizations and have a good background in material science and/or chemical engineering and at least a bachelor degree in the relevant field. Master degree or PhD is a plus. The candidate will be responsible of procurement of equipment/consumables, operation of lab work related to solar dust project, to set up, adjust and operate laboratory equipment and instruments. In addition will assist the undergraduate students, if involved in the same project.
