The Dean of the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University opens a call for an academic position lecturer position for the field Hydrobiology at the Department of Botany and Zoology

Anticipated start date: 1 of January, 2020 or upon agreement

Work load: full time (40 hours per week)

Requirements:

• Ph.D. or CSc. degree
• focus on the ecology of aquatic invertebrates including its applications in nature conservation
• at least five-year experience of university teaching of basic and applied hydrobiology
• experience with supervising bachelor or master (optionally also doctoral) theses
• experience in presenting the research results to the general public in a popular form
• good knowledge of Czech (or Slovak) and English, ability to teach in both languages
• experience from applied hydrobiological research projects usable in education
• publications in journals with impact factor
• at least short-term stays in foreign institutions and international professional contacts
