King’s College London is seeking a Research Development Manager for the Health Faculties, to work with academics across disciplines to enhance research performance and funding.  King’s is a leading UK university, with strengths across a breadth of disciplines and a strong translational ethos. 

This is a senior role, and the Research Development Manager will join a high-performing team working alongside world-class academic researchers.  They will develop and coordinate large, strategic funding applications, work with individuals on research grants, including fellowships, and contribute to a wide range of activities intended to enhance the research environment (for example internal funding schemes).

The Research Development Manager will play a key role in providing expert advice and analysis to academic staff, from early career researchers to senior leaders, and contribute to shaping the university’s direction.  He/she will also develop and manage external partnerships where relevant to enhancing research performance.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience research funding along with a background of research in a relevant health/biomedical field.  The individual will combine strong strategic and project management capabilities with diplomacy, negotiation skills and an ability to work well across functions and academic disciplines.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract. This is a full-time post.

The selection process will include a panel interview, an assessment, a presentation.
