As an Associate Professor, you will assist the Head of Department to maintain, enhance and improve the Faculty’s national and international reputation in the field of Forensic Accounting/Data Analytics/Auditing.  You will demonstrate continuing academic attainment and achievement and you will provide leadership, mentorship and line management for a number of colleagues. 

You will make a significant contribution to the development of research and scholarship in the department.  This will include the production of high quality outputs, the development of significant research impact, and the development of a strong RGCI bidding culture, the enhancement of research informed teaching and the development of a culture of business engagement/enterprise activity/knowledge transfer. Via your own outputs, impact activity and RGCI bidding, you will make a significant personal contribution to the Business School’s 2021 Research Excellence Framework submission. 

You must have a strong publication record and the ability to generate significant research and enterprise income, commensurate with the title of Associate Professor. 

You will contribute to research informed learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and undertake research, enterprise and scholarly activities, and income generation, contributing to the Faculty’s research profile. 

You should have excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to teach effectively on a range of programmes using a variety of approaches to student learning.  You will have a PhD and a research record enabling you to make a significant contribution to REF2021. It is also essential that you have had success in applying for external research funding and have appropriate knowledge of future potential funding bodies aligned to your area(s) of research interest.
