About our Team
HWUSU is a student focussed organisation responsible for the University’s sporting needs, sitting beneath Oriam in the University’s hierarchical structure. HWUSU currently offers over 30 sports, as well as a range of other opportunities through volunteering and links in the local community.
The number of sports offered by HWUSU has steadily increased over time, with volunteering, community links, social opportunities and charity work also becoming more prominent parts of HWUSU. The current SU membership sits at just over 1,800, spread across the 30+ sports on offer.
The SU Administrator will be joining our small team, which consists of the Sports Union President and Sports Union Coordinator and supported by the Sports Development Manager.

Job Overview (summary)
The Sports Union Administrator executes administrative tasks including executing and recording financial transactions, completing administrative tasks imperative to the operation of the business and delivery of the SU’s large social events.

Key duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities - This section describes what is expected from the role
Club Administration
Assessments
Coordinate driver assessments working closely with the University and assessment provider.
Facilities
Book all internal and external facilities for training and matches.
Fixtures/ Results
Arrange all club fixtures, input subsequent results (including SSS leagues and other rec leagues) and profile.
Transport
Execute and monitor transport bookings and processes in line with allocated allowances.
Vehicle Maintenance
Deal with any issues on vehicle maintenance for long-term leases.
Events
Recreational Sport
Coordinate SSS Ladders & Intramural Sport, support and champion the recreational activity within clubs and coordinate one-off events.
Watt Wednesdays
Coordinate delivery of Watt Wednesday events throughout the year (x4).
Varsity
Support with delivery of varsity as part of organising committee.
People
Coordinators
Support of club coordinators with their roles.
Volunteer Coach Programme
Develop student coaching programme.
