This PhD Studentship is funded by the EU Horizon2020 programme, focusing on “role of ALK and GSK3 in neural crest development and oncogenesis”. NEUcrest is a four-year international project studying neural crest cells, an essential stem cell population of vertebrate embryos. The project integrates academic, clinical and industrial research for a better understanding of neural crest development and related diseases. The NEUcrest network comprises 20 partners in academia, industry and hospitals from seven European countries, gathered in a synergistic effort to advance knowledge and outreach about these diseases.

This Ph.D project is multidisciplinary and includes signalling in oncogenesis and development, experimental embryology, genome editing and imaging. Successful applicant will have a first degree or Masters in biology, cell biology, genetics, molecular biology or equivalent field. 

Mobility requirement: as stipulated by the funding body, EU applicants are eligible to apply. Applicants must not have been based in the country of registration for more than 12 months in the last 3 years.

This post will be offered on fixed-term contract for 36 months. 

This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.

The selection process will include a short presentation and a panel interview.
