The Research Services Office (RSO) collaborates with University research staff to achieve excellence in research. We assist staff to apply for research funding opportunities, ensure that all grant applications comply with funding rules and are submitted on time, as well as effective administering of awarded grants.

Your main objective in this role is to initiate and support strategic development activities for major research funding initiatives which maximises researchers’ potential for success. You will work closely with researchers across disciplines, faculties, research institutes/groups and research/business partners to develop, plan and coordinate submission of funding bids for major research programs. This includes Centres of Excellence, Research Hubs, Training Centres and other similar large scale collaborative research ventures. Effective post-award management of major grants is another key responsibility.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a strong initiative. You will have high level organisational skills, communication abilities and excellent attention to detail. This is a rewarding position in a high performing team. Experience in managing major funding bids, interpreting and implementing policies, guidelines and agreements as well as negotiation of complex contracts will ensure your successful performance in this role.
