Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (Ref.: 498932) (to commence in January 2020 for one year, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree with experience in teaching common core curriculum. Relevant work experience in teaching or scientific research would be highly desirable. Those with medical and/or genetics related background and a thorough knowledge of genomics are preferred, as the course content will be centred around the doctor/patient perspective. Applicants should have good organizational, problem-solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and multi-task. The appointee will take up substantial teaching responsibilities at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with an emphasis on common core curriculum. He/She will independently lead the teaching of undergraduate students, conduct small-group tutorials, mark assignments, prepare teaching materials, supervise student work, develop new common core course(s), and undertake other tasks related to teaching and learning.
