Do you enjoy working with entrepreneurs and looking for an exciting challenge?

The SETsquared Partnership Business Acceleration Centres have evolved over the last 18 years to be THE best university business incubator in the world - and we're now looking for the right person to lead the Bristol SETsquared Centre for 13 months to cover maternity leave of the current Director.

You'll know what it's like to grow a technology business, you'll understand entrepreneurs, you'll be able to hit the ground running with our 85 member businesses but be completely comfortable evolving the offering to our clients. You'll also understand the role SETsquared Centre has in the local economy.

We have always innovated in the way we work and operated entrepreneurially and we find ourselves within the exciting Engine Shed space in central Bristol creating a whole new set of opportunities with which to support member businesses and help make the Bristol City-region the best place to start or grow a business.

We do practice rather than theory here, and our focus is on the people in the business - so you'll need to be comfortable putting people way, way ahead of process. You will be responsible for implementing the current strategy to maintain growth, working closely with the SETsquared team.

We don't run technology transfer. We don't run student enterprise. Colleagues elsewhere in the University run those activities - your job is purely and simply to accelerate technology businesses, wherever they have come from, and make sure there is the best chance of them succeeding.

You have world-class Entrepreneurs-in-Residence working for you, Business Incubation Manager, Community Manager and a great Marketing, events and admin team. It won't be an easy job, and we're not going to make you a millionaire but no two days will ever be the same: for the right person, this could be the best job in the world, and you'll be on the world stage of business incubation.

Interviews will take place on the 1st of November and we aim to recruit from 2nd December 2019.

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
