Job description

The ESF funded Leading Lancashire project is a consortium of regional FE/HE partners, led by UCLan. The aim of the project is to enhance equal access to lifelong learning by developing Leadership and Management Skills for Succession, with a specific focus on individuals who are employed within Lancashire SMEs within key industries to support business growth in the area.

The Customer Recruitment Manager will lead the recruitment of individuals employed within SME organisations to UCLan ESF programmes. An understanding of commercial markets is crucial. Experience of working with outside bodies and organisations such as employers, or working in a customer facing role is essential as is previous experience of supporting/coordinating other to successfully achieve a project. 

The post-holder will have the responsibility for advertising and promoting the programmes available to eligible SME employers/employees and allocating them to a suitable scheduled programme. As part of the ESF funding arrangements, the Customer Recruitment Manager will need to ensure relevant administration for eligible employers/delegates is completed and ensure targets for delegate numbers are achieved by liaising with other UCLan recruitment colleagues and the Executive Delivery Consultant. This post will be responsible for maintaining contact and support for employers throughout the process and post-programme to ensure a quality programme is delivered and also for the completion of relevant post-course ESF and evaluation administration.

Excellent communication & administration skills are key as the role will require networking in a professional setting. Applicants must be a holder of HE diploma or degree in relevant subject, equivalent qualification or related work experience.

Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. This position is primarily based in Preston. Travel around the Lancashire area will be required. Applications to work on a job share basis would be welcomed.
