Two fixed term roles (one at 14 hours per week, one at 10.5 hours per week) offer an exciting opportunity to join the Library Customer Services Team responsible for coordinating delivery of accessible and inclusive front-line services to students and researchers across the University.

As a Library Supervisor based within the ASSL zone of libraries you will work with colleagues to ensure that service levels are maintained to a high standard and as advertised across the early evening period. You will support the management of staff performance, including that of third party security operatives, recruitment and training.

We are seeking to appoint candidates with some experience of first line management including liaison with third party service providers to cover shifts. You will demonstrate excellent customer focus and a strong drive to motivate and lead teams. You will have knowledge and understanding of the challenges of delivering front-line services within a 24/7 library environment. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work and communicate well with a wide range of staff and customers. This role includes working to provide front line services across Bank Holidays and University closure days when library sites are open.
