Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine (Ref.: 498900), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences, Cancer Research or a related discipline. They should demonstrate an excellent track record in cancer biology. Those with experience in leukaemia research would have an advantage. Applicants should also be organized, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team. The appointee will work in a well-established group, and is expected to perform high-impact research related to the pathogenesis of leukaemia and drug development. He/She will use various approaches to explore novel therapeutic targets with translational implications for acute myeloid leukaemia.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
