We have an exciting opportunity to join our Programme and Student Support (PASS) team in our School Support Service.
We are looking for a full time, permanent member of staff to work in support of our programme administration within the Business School, Craiglockhart Campus.
At the heart of our University sits our School Support Service. Pertinent to both the day-to-day organisation of our Schools and our work into diverse and exciting research and projects; our School Support Service delivers flexible and resilient support to students and academic staff across the University. Simply put, through excellent customer service, we anticipate users' needs and deliver support services that are efficient, accessible and intuitive to our users.
The role
The team provides the full range of tasks associated with academic administration. Initially working in the Business School in our Craiglockhart Campus; the post holder will undertake a diverse range of administrative tasks associated with supporting students, supporting academic staff and liaising with external partners. Joining at team of 15, this role is in relation to Post Graduate MSc programmes and Research students within the Business School with the additional focus on the dissertation Module.
This may include support for:
- Academic staff particularly programme and module leaders
- Maintenance of the student record
- Committee servicing - eg Research Degree Committee
Please note you may need to work across all three of our Campuses when required.
Who we are looking for
You will ideally have prior administrative experience, preferably in Further or Higher Education, be a strong communicator with the ability to develop close working relationships, to deliver effective support across the School.
You will have excellent customer service and organisational skills together with the ability to work flexibly and to deadlines in a team environment. Effective communication skills are a key element of this role. Experience of IT, especially spreadsheets and databases, is essential and knowledge of SITS would be advantageous.

Salary: Grade 3 - GBP 28,814 - 25,941 per annum
