Research Associate/Research Fellow
We seek an independent, experienced and motivated Research Associate (grade 6) or Research Fellow (grade 7) who will be responsible of coordinating the wet lab activity of the group, actively help the group leader in the day-to-day running of the wet- lab and ensure continuity in the group over time.
The successful candidate will be involved in wet-lab component of various research projects in the field of cancer genomics, particularly of cancers of the gastrointestinal tract. Our group applies systems biology to study cancer evolution, and we are a multidisciplinary team combining computational and wet-lab approaches.
Exemplar projects include the identification of altered genes contributing to cancer in individual patients (see Mourikis et al Nature Communications 2019), the validations of genetic dependencies that can be exploited in cancer therapy (see Benedetti Oncotarget 2017) and the immunogenomic analysis of cancer data to predict the response to immunotherapy.
We are part of the School of Cancer & Pharmaceutical Sciences of King’s College London and are located at The Francis Crick Institute in London (see here for more information).
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 3 years. This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent. The selection process will include a panel interview.
