Closing Date: Sunday 27 October 2019

Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to provide effective and efficient administrative support to an externally funded Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Agri-Food Robotics entitled ‘AgriFoRwArdS’ involving the University of Lincoln as lead partner, and two other major UK Universities. The CDT is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.

The successful candidate will need to be proactive and able to use their initiative, whilst remaining focused on providing excellent customer service and support at all times. The successful postholder will be working in a very fast-paced and dynamic environment, so this will be a great opportunity for any candidate who enjoys working at a high pace with a flexible approach.

The Centre will focus on Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) technologies, which will advance the start of the art by creating the largest global cohort of RAS specialists and leaders focused on the Agri-Food sector. All students will follow a common foundational year, studying on the MSc Robotics and Autonomous Systems at the University of Lincoln, then carry out their PhD studies at either Lincoln, Cambridge or East Anglia. An ongoing, integrated research training programme will take place throughout the MSc and PhD phases, including participation in conferences and summer schools.

The postholder will work closely with the CDT Project Manager and the CDT Director in day-to-day running of the Centre in accordance with funder guidelines, including administrative processes, student liaison, support for events and the Centre Steering Board. The postholder must have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and carry them out to completion.

The postholder will be based at the Riseholme Campus but must be able to alternate between other Campuses, as required.

The closing date given is a guide. We reserve the right to close the post early once we have received a sufficient number of applications, so we advise you to submit your application early to prevent disappointment.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
