This is an exciting opportunity to join University of the West of Scotland (UWS), one of Higher Education's most innovative modern universities.
We have 4 vibrant campuses across the West of Scotland as well as a campus in Central London. 

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Manager to lead and manage the provision of an efficient, high quality and value for money advisory Occupational Health (OH) service for University staff. 

You will ensure compliance with responsibilities imposed by health and safety legislation, whilst maximising and promoting the health of all employees, as well as reducing the risk of cases of occupational ill health developing. 

The successful individual should be a registered general nurse, have a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and hold an appropriate professional qualification. You should also have a proven track record of managing an OH service in a large organisation with strong demonstrable experience in Occupational Health. Experience of initiating and developing OH policies and health surveillance programmes is also required as is experience of working in partnership with Human Resources to deliver an effective OH service provision.

You will be a team player, proactive and diligent, capable of leading and motivating a multi-disciplinary team working as an autonomous specialist practitioner. You will have well-developed project management, negotiation and facilitation skills with the ability to exercise professional judgement and make informed decisions.
