The Role

  • Continuing, Full Time
  • $67,481 to $114,117 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Port Macquarie

A newly created opportunity exists to join a national leader in providing Exercise and Sport Science, Sports Media, Nutrition Science and postgraduate Clinical Exercise Physiology education.

Actively contribute to teaching, research, curriculum development, and student engagement teaching a range of subjects utilising blended models.

The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to develop and progress an active research profile aligned to the strategic direction of the School. This position is available for commencement in February 2020.

To be successful you will have:

  • A qualification appropriate to the level being applied for or equivalent accreditation and standing
  • Eligibility for Exercise Science and/ or Exercise Physiology accreditation with the Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA)
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the discipline
  • Evidence of the delivery of high quality student centred learning and teaching
  • A record of research relevant to the discipline

The School of Exercise Science, Sport and Health (SESSH) is a multi-campus, academic unit. The School offers a suite of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the disciplines of exercise science, sport management, sports media, exercise physiology and nutrition. The School has a diverse range of staff who work together in the pursuit of excellence in teaching, research and community engagement. Staff are focused on innovative and high quality education, using state-of-the-art exercise science laboratories and learning spaces to encourage collaboration and support new methods of teaching and learning.
