Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Planetary Geochemistry and Spectroscopy in the Department of Earth Sciences (Ref.:498781), to commence as soon as possible for two to three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of funding.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Earth and Planetary Science, Geology, Geochemistry, Cosmochemistry, or related fields, with experience in infrared remote sensing and spectroscopy.  The appointee will work on the research area of aqueous alteration processes and hydrothermal systems. He/She will gain experience with experimental applications in the Planetary Spectroscopy and Mineralogy Laboratory and carry out sample-based and remote sensing research, resulting published outcomes.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.   At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
