Competitive Salary and Benefits

An exciting opportunity to make a substantial difference.

Under new leadership, Brac University is seeking to move well beyond being one of the leading universities in Bangladesh and position itself as one of Asia’s leading international universities. To support this aim we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual with the ability to put in place a modern university careers service. If you haven’t considered Bangladesh in the past, then we urge you to think again. With one of the fastest growing economies in the world, the nation is a modern-day success story. Its rapidly diversifying economy is being powered by a talented and youthful population. Brac University is playing an integral role in the development of skilled graduates for a knowledge-based economy. If you relish the prospect of helping young people to explore and engage with the ever-evolving range of career opportunities that are emerging both in Bangladesh and internationally you will thrive in this role.

Although only eighteen years old, Brac University has rapidly established itself as Bangladesh’s leading private university. We now seek to be recognized as a high performing international university by delivering teaching excellence producing impactful research, and being recognized as a leader in student experience. We are proud to be associated with BRAC, the world’s largest NGO and share its commitment to upholding human values and supporting sustainable development.

You will build a careers service that enables students to fully examine future career opportunities, make well informed decisions and develop the skills and experience needed to successfully gain graduate level employment. You will also develop strong working relationships with a range of corporate partners to support curricular development activities, research collaborations and increase opportunities for vocational work experience.

You will ideally have a well-developed understanding of the role of the career services function within a progressive higher education institution. Demonstrated awareness of the way in which work is evolving in knowledge-based economies and ability to build developmental opportunities that enable students to prepare effectively for future employment is required.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse group of colleagues and external stakeholders is essential. Experience of undertaking similar previous assignments would be beneficial.
