Deakin Business School (DBS) comprises six academic departments that span the full range of business disciplines: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Systems & Business Analytics, Management, and Marketing. The Faculty’s teaching aims to be innovative utilising face-to-face teaching and on-line technologies to ensure a high level of flexibility for the diverse learning needs of our students.

The Department of Marketing at Deakin University based in Victoria, Australia, is strategically focused on research issues relevant to transformative consumer research and social marketing, services marketing, and marketing strategy. The Department comprises 22 faculty. Department members have published in leading journals in the discipline, including the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Academy Marketing Science, the Journal of Retailing, International Journal of Research in Marketing and the Journal of Service Research. The Department has a strong record of securing Category 1 nationally competitive research funding.

We have an exciting position for an early career academic to join the Department on a full-time, fixed-term basis for 12 months, where you will undertake teaching and teaching-related activities in the discipline of Marketing, that focusses on the specialisation subjects such as retailing, services, integrated marketing communications and consumer behaviour.

This is a teaching focussed position where you will have the opportunity to teach programs offered by the Department at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and supervision at honours and/or doctoral levels.

To be successful, you will have a PhD in a relevant discipline, or on the path to completion of a PhD. You will have excellent communication skills and demonstrated capability to teach in undergraduate, or postgraduate levels, and supervision at honours, Master and/or doctoral levels.
