Overview:

The Office of the Principal wishes to appoint an Executive Officer to provide high-level support to the Vice-Principal (Education),  facilitating effective strategic planning through the management of a wide portfolio of activities and projects involving research and analysis; drafting and production of papers, presentations and communications; internal and external liaison; and the management of complex internal and external processes.

This position requires that the post-holder exercise substantial discretion and independent judgement. The post-holder will act with a high degree of initiative and autonomy in organising and prioritising their personal workload, recognising that the role entails managing a range of tasks at any one time. The postholder will demonstrate a developed knowledge of the higher education policy landscape, and display excellent judgement as to when to take decisions independently and when to refer to Vice-Principal.

The post is a full time, permanent appointment at Grade 7, with a salary range of £55,840 - £62,415 per annum. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
