Full-time, 35 hours per week

The University of the West of Scotland is a dynamic and ambitious organisation that aims to change lives, transform communities and encourage enterprise through outstanding, distinctive and progressive higher education.

Strategic Planning is a small team at the heart of the University, responsible for the development and deployment of business intelligence to inform institutional policy and performance.

We are seeking to appoint a capable, dynamic individual to a newly-created role which will help drive performance and strategic planning at the University, at an exciting time as the University prepares to launch its new Corporate Strategy 2020-2025.

The role holder will have excellent data and analytical skills and have a passion for developing and deploying data in accessible and comprehensible formats to inform decisions across the University.

The new Planning and Performance Coordinator – Statutory Returns will develop an expert knowledge of the University’s data and will become a go-to colleague for teams across the University.  The role holder will take a leading role in ensuring the University complies with a range of legislative data requirements and, through an inquisitive and constructive approach, ensures the statistical data returns are accurate and optimised. Through a supportive approach, the role holder will work closely with schools and directorates to ensure that decision-making is informed by the wide variety of data and information available.
