The School of Engineering is seeking a PhD-qualified Chartered Engineer to teach and research in fire engineering, design and/or safety related topics. Near-completers are also welcome to apply. The successful candidate will be committed to enhancing students' learning experience and able to teach fire engineering design and practice. You will also have a good honours degree or equivalent in a relevant area.
The successful candidate will have experience of teaching engineering in a Higher Education environment or significant experience in an industry professional engineering role in a suitable industry such as (fire engineering, structural engineering etc.) Experience of development and delivery of teaching materials would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be flexible and innovative in their approach to teaching & learning and have the ability to undertake research/knowledge transfer as well as the ability to teach and supervise dissertations up to Master's level.
