EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE VICE PRESIDENTHuman Resources-Office of the Vice President, to perform complex and diverse duties in direct support of the vice president.  Will be responsible for calendar management, scheduling and coordinating numerous appointments, meetings, and high profile events using independent judgment based on awareness of and sensitivity to the variety of issues with which the VP is involved; anticipate, initiate, organize, and implement processes to efficiently manage projects, events, travel, and meeting information; exercise discretion and sound judgment when dealing with sensitive matters/data/information; work with a sense of urgency in completing all assignments; promote and foster a welcoming office environment for a diverse staff; and serve as an ambassador for Human Resources. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least seven years’ administrative, office, or related experience directly supporting a senior leader or in a related office environment; discretion and sound judgment in maintaining the highest level of confidentiality; experience managing a complex and busy calendar; demonstrated ability to use advanced features of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; ability to identify and learn new programs/software skills as necessary, easily navigate the web, and perform complex searches; excellent project coordination, critical thinking, decision-making, and written and oral communication skills; strong editing and proofreading skills; event management experience; and meticulous attention to detail.  Must be able to prioritize assignments, multitask, and meet deadlines; problem solve and generate creative solutions; work independently with limited supervision, cross-functionally, and collaboratively with a variety of people at all levels; and adjust to changing priorities in a pressured work environment with frequent interruptions. PREFERRED:  knowledge of HR/MIT policies and procedures and familiarity with SAP-HR. Job #18102-8
