Job Description

Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellow for the DST-SERB Funded Project (Sanction Order No. ECR/2017/001325), in the School Biosciences and Technology (SBST), VIT- Vellore

Title of the Project: Bacteriostatic - polymer/antibiotic combination based bi-modal Strategy for in situ management of diabetic osteomyelitis: an in vitro and animal model based study.

Qualification: Candidates with First class BTech/MTech/MSc in Biotechnology /Biomedical/ Mechanical/ Physics/ Chemistry or related subjects.

Desirable (if any): Candidates with experience in animal handling, animal cell culture/ biomaterial synthesis, fabrication and design will be preferred.
Stipend/Fellowship a)MTech and b) BTech/MSc with NET or GATE: Rs. 25,000/ per month for initial two years, Rs. 28,000/per month, if candidate has 2 years of research experience. c) BTech/ MSc without NET or GATE: fellowship as per institute norms.
Sponsoring Agency: DST-SERB.
