Fixed Term for 24 months with possible extension to 48 months
Centre for Low-Carbon Propulsion Systems (C-ALPS) within the Institute for Future Transport and Cities, Coventry University is looking for a Research Fellow as part of an international Horizon2020 project. This role will support an ambitious research initiative with multiple international partners, focused on producing highly efficient smart Li-ion battery system. Particular contribution will be required on microdevice sensors fabrication and implementation.
You should have or be near obtaining a PhD in Materials, Chemistry, Physics or Engineering, and be able to demonstrate relevant expertise in the area of novel sensors design and fabrication and/or microdevices. If successful, you will join a newly created research centre with high levels of industry engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for you to significantly expand your technical research skills within the strategically important area of sensors, which in turn will be used for supporting industrially relevant battery diagnostics methods.
Under line management supervision and guidance of Dr Tazdin Amietszajew, and in close collaboration with project partners, you will contribute to research and consultancy activity, prepare reports and deliverables within the project. In addition, you will support the Centre's research, including the submission of funding bids with support from your line manager.
