Working in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace & Automotive Engineering, you will be committed to contributing to our continued success in delivery of engineering programmes. You will join a School with high levels of teaching quality and student satisfaction (ranked in the Guardian University Guide 2020 in the country's top three for our courses in Mechanical Engineering).

The successful candidate will be able to contribute to the delivery of topics relating to aerodynamics, aircraft systems, aircraft structures, propulsion and CAD. Industrial experience within the aerospace industry would be advantageous. You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do and will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation. We are firmly focussed on preparing students for successful careers, in the context of industry's current and future demands. We have a strong tradition of business-focussed research. The University is investing in new research centres to develop our areas of expertise and achieve excellence with impact.

Applicants should be qualified to MEng/MSc level in a relevant engineering subject. Alternatively, candidates with relevant industrial experience to an equivalent level are also encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and able to communicate with students, academic and technical staff. You will provide support to academic staff for module delivery and assessment as well as STEM/Outreach activities and Open Days.
