Role Description

We are investing to further strengthen our nationally leading activities across several fields of research and teaching with a new post in data analytics. This role will involve engaging in both research and education in this fast moving field, developing a distinctive research profile and collaborating with our growing community of scholars and solution delivery partners from government, commerce, and society. Using statistical as well as machine learning tools, you will develop insights and innovative tools and techniques to drive transformatory solutions in areas such as the circular economy, technology resilience, predictive maintenance, individual and group behaviour, and product deterioration.

You will be joining a vibrant and creative team in the Centre for Creative Competitive Design which has been named by Business Week as one of the 'World's Best Design Schools', with an excellent reputation for collaborative design-driven innovation. Your teaching activities will inform and enthuse a new generation of specialists and your research will expand the reach and impact of data science into new areas of application.

You do not necessarily have to currently be in an academic position, but you will have a PhD (or equivalent) in data analytics, or a relevant topic, with experience of conducting high impact, excellent research evidenced through publications in high quality, peer reviewed journals. You should also be able to evidence that you are able to secure funding to support your research activities.
