INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ANALYST II, Resource Development-Office of Strategic Information Management, to maintain a range of applications and solutions to support both Resource Development (RD) and advancement staff throughout MIT. Will work directly with clients in person ad via telephone and email to identify and resolve issues. Responsibilities include working with RD team members and Institute technical staff, accurately describing problems, resolving and/or escalating where necessary, and then translating their technical answers into user-friendly responses; and working with a broad range of products, information resources and systems, and business processes and providing moderately complex maintenance and support which includes investigation, diagnosis, escalation/resolution and recovery for support requests. As a member of the Resource Development Information Technology (RD-IT) team, you can expect to work on one or more projects concurrently, independently or as part of a team.
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; three years’ relevant IT experience; experience supporting a variety of business applications, desktop and mobile technologies, or enterprise systems; experience using customer support systems; strong diagnostic and analytical skills and working knowledge of current technologies; Initiative; ability to manage a high volume of work; tact and good judgment with confidential information; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate as part of a team and provide strong customer service for all organizational technology needs; willingness and ability to quickly learn and understand software applications, systems, and RD business processes and to take on new challenges; and experience with Apple computers, IOS devices, Microsoft Office, and FileMaker Pro software.
