Two postdoctoral positions under the supervision of Daniel Kral are available at the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University, in Brno, Czech Republic. The positions are funded by the ERC grant LADIST and additional university funding. All candidates working in discrete mathematics and discrete algorithms are welcome to apply.

The starting date is flexible, preferably in the second half of the year 2020. However, both the length and exact starting date of each position can be negotiated. The annual salary starts at approx. 25,000 EUR and additional funds for travel and other research expenses are available for each of the positions.

Requirements

Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Computer Science or Mathematics at the start of their position and a strong research record in discrete mathematics and/or discrete algorithms. For one of the positions, we are seeking candidates with good programming skills and/or research interests in the area of fixed-parameter tractability.
