Data Scientist in Public Health at Health Data Research UK
This position offers an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivery of the Public Health Data Science theme of the recently awarded Health Data Research UK London site, which aims to deliver a major shift in the UK’s ability for research-ready, actionable, real-time and large-scale platforms and analytics in the NHS. The post holder will contribute to development of our national portfolio of epidemiological, clinical and health informatics platforms and research.
The post holder will be expected to facilitate the harnessing of KCL’s resources, collaborations and expertise. Excellent communication skills are required to describe and understand the requirements and key challenges and evaluate methodologies underpinning Public Health Data Science. Outputs, including publications in high impact journals and conferences as well as contributions to applications for funding and possibly identifying fellowships, will be encouraged, depending on the candidate’s background and interests.
The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline and relevant data analysis skills.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 2 years/3 months.
