Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Human Geography
Northumbria University seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer or Lecturer in Human Geography within the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences.
You will contribute to an area of human geography to further enhance research, enterprise and teaching. Open to all suitably qualified applicants, in particular candidates with expertise aligned with current research strengths in: social and cultural geographies; disasters, development and resilience; or candidates able to contribute to the International Development Group working in partnership with the Department of Social Sciences to build on our successful engagement with the Global Challenges Research Fund.
The successful candidate must hold a first degree and be qualified to doctoral level in a relevant discipline, with specialist knowledge gained through research activity, professional practice or consultancy. A proven ability to deliver high quality research and teaching is essential, together with an appropriate publication profile and track record of bidding for external income.
