Violence Abuse and Mental Health Network Survivor/ Lived Experience Involvement Officer
The Violence Abuse and Mental Health Network aims to reduce the prevalence of mental health problems among children, adults, and the elderly, by bringing together experts with different ways of thinking about violence, abuse and mental health - some with personal experience of these issues, others with expertise from the work that they do, and survivor researchers with both. Through our work we hope to understand, prevent and reduce the impact of violence and abuse on mental health.
The post-holder will contribute to the development and delivery of the Network’s survivor and service user involvement strategy, will advise the Network on involvement issues, and will organise and coordinate a Lived Experience Advisory Panel for the Network.
The successful candidate will have experience of coordinating or facilitating survivor and service user involvement in a violence, abuse, or mental health context. As the post-holder will be coordinating the involvement of people with experiences of violence, abuse, and mental health problems, we are seeking to recruit someone who has these lived experiences. However, at no time will the post-holder be asked about personal experiences.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 31/10/2022
This is a part-time post - 30% full time equivalent
The selection process will include a panel interview
