Working within the award winning Law School, which is rapidly moving up the THE World Rankings, you will join a team of world-leading and internationally excellent legal scholars.  

You will contribute to research informed learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and undertake research, enterprise and scholarly activities, and income generation, contributing to the Faculty’s research profile. 

You must have excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to teach effectively on a range of programmes using a variety of approaches to student learning.  You will have a PhD and a research record enabling you to make a contribution to REF2021, and have clear plans to enhance that contribution.  It is also essential that you have had success in applying for external research funding and have appropriate knowledge of future potential funding bodies aligned to your area(s) of research interest. 

We are particularly interested in applicants in the areas of Cyber Law, Information Rights, Commercial Law, Tort, Civil Litigation, Terrorism, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Land Law, Conveyancing, Trusts, Probate, Company Law, Commercial Law, European Union Law and Intellectual Property Law, but other areas will be considered depending on profile strength.
