About the role

The Ethics Manager will provide expert advice to the University about its obligations and responsibilities concerning the conduct of research and teaching involving human participants and animal participants in research and teaching.

The position will be responsible for the internal management of research ethics policies and procedures, including the provision of University-wide training and dissemination of information relating to amendments to both external and internal ethics requirements.

About you

We are seeking applications from candidates who are passionate about promoting and supporting a culture of ethical research. You will be experienced in ethics management or public administration and have a thorough understanding of risk management processes. With excellent communication skills, you will demonstrate success in managing confidential and sensitive matters, and applying legislative requirements.

Candidates should have a relevant degree, and demonstrate a positive and collegial contribution to the success of a team and/or organisational unit.
