About The Role
Join RMIT and contribute to the teaching efforts of the School, in disciplines related to their field of expertise. More specifically, as Lecturer, Industry Fellow (Public Relations), you will be responsible for carrying out teaching activities within the Bachelor of Communication (Public Relations) program and for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, professional and/or research capabilities. You will also be encouraged to actively promote the program at RMIT by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities.
You will demonstrate capacity, dedication and strategies for coordinating and delivering high quality and innovative learning and teaching in public relations courses, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials. You will also demonstrate experience in the development of innovative curriculum and new educational programs and a capacity to work across media and communication disciplines and in flexible delivery modes, including online. Relevant and current public relations/communication industry experience, either at a local, national and/or international level, and the ability to build new and maintain existing networks between the public relations program and industry, both locally and globally will be highly regarded.
Mandatory: Postgraduate qualifications and/or Equivalence to Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) 8 and proven public relations industry experience within the previous two years.
