The Opportunity
- Opportunity to expand UNSW collaborative, partnership-focussed research funding strategy
- L8/9 $106,711 - $120,233 + 17% super + annual leave loading
- 5-year fixed-term contract
Reporting to the Senior Research Development Manager and working as part of a supportive and high-performing team within the UNSW Research Strategy Office (RSO), this newly created opportunity will operate at the leading edge of research development strategy with a focus on competitive funding schemes requiring collaborative research and external partnerships in health/medicine. Effective interaction at a high level with researchers, funding bodies, and potential partners in collaborative research, and with relevant Faculties and researchers across the University, will be key to success, as well as strong project management skills and relevant experience in the health/medical research sector.

- Applications for competitive research grants
- Developing and strengthening domestic and international research partnerships
- Developing effective funding strategies for researchers and teams
About the Successful Applicant
You can demonstrate your success working with researchers to obtain competitive research funding, including:
- High-level knowledge of Australian health/medical research sector funding schemes
- Experience in providing strategic advice and support in the preparation of proposals
- Project management, prioritisation and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities and deadlines in high volume environments
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to research and analyse material and identify key issues, and produce high-level outcomes in both autonomous and team-based activities
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including an ability to prepare and present effectively to a variety of academic and non-academic audiences
