Overview:

We are looking to appoint an Assessment Administrator (Grade 3), to work in the School of Economics and Finance. The post holder will be responsible for the administration of assessment related activities for UG and PGT programmes within the School.

The post-holder will be main point of contact for staff and students regarding assessment related matters, advising on assessment related regulations and School policy. They will coordinate the School’s secure compilation and submission of examination papers, oversee the timetabling of assessment related activities and organize the running of mid-term exams. They will assist Programme Managers in the servicing of exam boards, including organizing meetings, producing reports and taking action. They will also have responsibility for entering marks and for the collection, distribution and sorting of exam scripts.

You will be educated to A level or equivalent, with experience of working within Higher Education. You will have experience of the administration related to exams and assessment, and of servicing and organising meetings. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels. You will also have strong organisational skills and have an ability to prioritise a varied workload, meet deadlines, to cope well under pressure and excellent attention to detail.  

The post is full time, and permanent. The starting salary will be in the range of £27,742 - £34,220 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
