We are seeking an experienced and talented bioinformatician with a keen interest in biomedical research and a systematic and thorough approach to their work. The successful candidate will join the world-leading MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit (IEU; http://www.bristol.ac.uk/integrative-epidemiology/), working primarily on the very detailed data in the Born in Bradford cohort (BiB; https://borninbradford.nhs.uk/). There will be a focus on the genomic (genome-wide and sequence), epigenomic (DNA methylation) and metabolomic (NMR and Mass Spec.) data that have been collected on parents and children at multiple time points. The successful candidate will also work across other birth cohorts and integrate findings from these cohorts with publicly available biological / biomedical data.

Funding for this post is currently available until July 2022 and the successful candidate will be appointed at either Research Associate (grade I) or Senior Research Associate (grade J) level depending on experience.

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
