Liverpool John Moores University are embarking on a major change programme within their Estate and Facilities Management Department. We are investing heavily in the physical infrastructure of our estate, to co-ordinate the servicing of our buildings, facilities, open spaces, and cleaning.
A key part of the role will be to manage ‘front of house’ delivery to internal and external stakeholders. You will connect on a daily basis with students, staff, and guests. It is essential all Facilities staff are ‘customer oriented’, as they are often the first contact for the University. You will be responsible for leading and developing a ‘can do’ attitude, combined with delivery of outstanding service to stakeholders.
Reporting to the Head of Campus Services, you will lead on the strategic and operational aspects of services across the Department. You will be a strong advocate of Estate and Facilities Management, with a track record of change leadership and continuous improvement. This position will offer a significant leadership opportunity to shape a new service, and contribute to the broader direction of the University.
You will have a first degree or professional equivalent qualification within a subject area relevant to Estates and Facilities Management or proven track record of extensive work experience in this field.
Informal enquiries should be directed to Paul Bradford, Head of Campus Support (Facilities) via e-mail p.m.bradford@ljmu.ac.uk
LJMU is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and communities irrespective of age, transgender status, disability, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity and religion or belief. All our appointments are made on merit.
Please note all of our vacancies will be closed to applications at midnight on the advertised closing date, unless otherwise stated.

works with business, we have entered into a new partnership with the maritime industry to create a unique global knowledge hub to bridge the shortage of skills in the engineering and maritime sector.
