The Department of Economics at the University of Melbourne is the leading economics department in Australia with strong undergraduate and postgraduate programs and an outstanding group of economists and econometricians.

The Department invites applications for a continuing Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (equivalent of Assistant Professor in North America)/Associate Professor/Professor position from candidates specialising in any areas of Econometrics.

The successful applicant will support the Department’s objectives in research, teaching and engagement by pursuing research in the discipline, publishing in leading international journals, playing a leading role in teaching innovation and course and curriculum development, and contributing to external debate. They will also make a significant contribution to the collegial and intellectual life, and the sustained success of the Department and provide excellent administrative leadership.

Applicants for the senior positions will have an outstanding track record in leadership, research, teaching and engagement activities and have been a recipient of major competitive research grants, with substantial publication track record, demonstrated quality as a teacher, and have contributed to the discipline externally, and through engagement.
