We are seeking an excellent academic to join our staff as an Assistant Lecturer in Media Cultures for a 12-month contract. The person appointed will have a proven record of teaching appropriate to career stage in the areas of media theory, cultural studies, and research methods. He/she will be expected to make a strong contribution to the teaching programme of the Department and undertake teaching duties on the Department’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The appointee will be expected to have and sustain a research and publication profile appropriate to career stage, that supports the University’s research strategy.

Assistant Lecturer Salary Scale: €34,065 per annum

Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.

*New entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the first point of the above scale.
