Applications are invited for a part time Research Assistant post (0.6FTE, fixed term 9 month contract from 1st November 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter) to work on an NIHR funded research project entitled “Managing Repetitive Behaviours: A clinical and cost effectiveness trial of a parent group intervention to manage restricted and repetitive behaviours in young children with ASD”.
The project is a multi-site randomised control trial intervention, with collaborative partners at Newcastle and Edinburgh Universities and regional clinical services.
The researcher will be based in the Department of Psychology at Durham University and will be affiliated with the Centre for Developmental Disorders but would be expected to work closely with colleagues on the wider team at Newcastle and Edinburgh Universities and in the local NHS.
This post offers the opportunity to work with established researchers and clinicians, to gain experience of working on the research side of an intervention to support children with autism spectrum disorders and their families.
This post is Part Time and Fixed Term for 9 months.
