We are currently looking to recruit an Information Governance Adviser to join our Governance Services team on a full time basis. Though this role will be predominately based at our Sighthill Campus the role will be responsible for services across all three of our campuses.

Our Governance & Compliance Department includes the Governance Services and Health & Safety teams which provide corporate governance, information governance and health & safety support services to the University, its governing body and other key stakeholders to support delivery of our strategy and meet statutory obligations.

Our department's vision is to work closely in partnership with our customers in order to provide an excellent, visible, pro-active, dynamic and highly professional support service which underpins delivery of the strategy in all areas by facilitating the highest standards of corporate governance and ensuring responsible compliance across a range of requirements.

The role

The successful candidate will provide high quality, flexible, pro-active professional support across the range of information governance and corporate governance support and enhancement activities undertaken within the Governance Services team, with a particular focus on records management and data protection.

Your core responsibilities will include assisting with the development and promotion of effective records management systems and processes to control the maintenance, use and disposition of the University's records, to coordinate and advise on queries and responses under the Data Protection Act and to assist with Freedom of Information request handling and administration as required.
